puerto peñasco spring break
June 19, 2008
Holy Moly, there’s no spring Break like Puerto Penasco Spring Break, I was kind of bummed las year when I couldn’t save enough money to go with my friends all the way down to Cancun for a second year in a row (well, actually I drank all my money away a month before the trip but that’s a whole other story).
That’s when I heard that some colleagues were talking about how fun Puerto Penasco Spring Break was and how cheap, wait a minute, did they just said cheap? So I listened on, I am not really into eavesdropping but, seeing how it was already the end of February and most of my vacation money was down the drain, I continued to listen; as it turns out, I heard that Puerto Penasco is only 70 miles away from the border, and you can find a place to crash fro a little as 50 bucks a night so, without giving it a lot of thought I called one other buddy and talked him into going for a Puerto Penasco Spring Break, to tell you the truth, I wasn’t really happy about the idea of going just by myself to Mexico (I had never been there before but there are a lot of horror stories), I took me a couple fo hours but I was able to convince him into coming along.
The trip was smooth and I was surprised to see just how many people were going down to Rocky Point for Spring Break, I counted at least a good hundred cars going down to Mexico on Wednesday and, when I arrived I was surprised to see that it looked like a branch of Arizona , I think the ration of Americans-Locals was at least 10:3 so I felt right at home.
We found a decent hotel with a pool that was walking distance from the bars and where the total for five nights was about three hundred dollars; I was on easy street from there on, a lot of beautiful girls lightened up the streets and clubs were packed with all kinds of people, needless to say, we had a blast and spent less than what the plane ticket alone to Cancun would have costed.
