Dinner Cruise in Rocky Point
March 15, 2008
This year, when I went to Rocky Point, I went on a dinner cruise. For about $20 a person, we got to ride on a party boat, with a lot of other people. The price included unlimited drinks with the choice of soda, beer, or margaritas (although I thought they would have a larger selection of drinks) and dinner, which consisted of Mexican rice, ceviche, and a salad. There was a live band, along with a DJ playing popular club music. The boat had a water slide so people could slide down into the sea water, but the weather was too cold that noone was even thinking about going swimming.
When we first got on the boat and it started taking off, it was kind of boring; we were just sitting there; although we did get to see some dolphins swim by. Then once everyone started drinking and the food was served and we ate, everyone started getting loud and dancing to the music. After all the drinks everyone was taking, people had to go to the bathroom and there was a really long line to go. Some people started cutting that people waiting in line started getting mad, yelling, and pushing. Luckily though it didn’t get any worse than that. It was actually a really nice feeling being on a boat while being buzzed, and dancing while the wind was hitting you in the face. The cruise was about two hours long. By the time it went back to the marina, everyone who had been drinking got off either extremely happy or extremely drunk and wasted. Some people had to be dragged-off because they couldn’t keep their balance as they tried to get off the boat unto the deck. Overall, it was an interesting experience that would I do again.
