The ground and territory in Rocky Point is perfect for riding off-road vehicles, but I’ve heard a lot of stories and have experienced for myself the fun and troubles of riding quads there. My brother has told me several stories of him and his friends falling off their quads for drinking while driving, for going too fast or for trying to drive-up hills or through rough terrains. Once story was when he tried to go up a high sand hill and didn’t make it up because he didn’t get enough speed, so his quad started to go backwards and flipped all the way down. He was able to get off before getting seriously hurt; though. The only injury he got was a burn on the palm of his hand. I also heard a story of a friend of one of my friends, who was really drunk when she was riding a quad that when she tried to drive over a small hill, she lost control and fell-off, then the quad fell directly on her leg, burning over half of it. Another common problem a lot of other drivers have is that they get stuck in the sand. They have to get off and pull the quad out of the sand by hand. The good thing about that; though, is that most other drivers will get off their own quad to go help. So; even though, riding quads in Rocky Point is a fun activity, it can also be very dangerous if you’re not careful, and especially if you’re intoxicated while driving.
