Spring break in Puerto Penasco is an event that has been going on every year for many years. Every spring thousands of spring breakers head down to Rocky Point with a bunch of their friends to have a fun and wild time. The spot is so popular that you are sure to run into someone you know. The first time I was part of spring break in Puerto Penasco, I ended up going at the last minute with my sister and her boyfriend. We left in the middle of the night and got there early morning, even though the drive should have taken us only about four hours. We had to wait until the border between Sonoyta, Sonora and Lukeville, Arizona opened at 6 in the morning before we could get into Mexico. Once we got to Rocky Point, we immediately started having fun. We went fishing, went horseback riding, rode quads, laid by the beach, went on a cruise, and then went out to nightclubs. We were walking down the strip where all the nightclubs are at, when we ran into our cousins from California and some old friends. We also saw a lot of people from school. We had no idea they were going to be there, but it was nice seeing someone we knew. After saying hi to everyone we continued with the fun until the next day and the day after that. We didn’t sleep much the days we were there, but that didn’t stop us from having fun. After all, that is what spring break in Puerto Penasco is all about-partying, having fun and enjoying life-you can make up for sleep later!
