Playa Bonita Hotel is 128 room resort hotel in Rocky Point. Playa Bonita is one of the more popular beachfront hotels in Rocky Point. Each nicely appointed room has a view of the beautiful Sea of Cortez and is situated around the Pool. Room features include; a single bed or a two bed configuration, air conditioning/heat, and satellite TV.
In addition to a standard room, also available are 2 bedroom 2 bath units that include a kitchenette.
Hotel ammenities include a restaurant/bar, pool, jacuzzi and mini market on-site. Playa Bonita has long been a favorite place to stay for many Rocky Point travelers.
Beautiful pool, but cold Apparently, they do not heat the pool in Mexico. The ocean was also to cold to swim in (end of March). The jaquzzi was great except for 1 day when it was so hot that it was impossible to sit in it. Other than that: great room, great view/location, and staff. We had free breakfast which was great. Wasnt too impressed with our dinner. Too expensive for the food that I got.

My place to sail & enjoy Mexico People are smiling and happy to serve you. I stay here twice a year and love the place.The sidewalk all the way to the end off the property is great to walk down and meet people. The boat access ramp to the beach really opens this place up to sailors. The bar and restruant are fast and friendly.I appreciate and enjoy a happy and friendly staff! See you there.

Not too bad Not allowed to flush toilet paper in toilet. Lot's of fireworks on beach at night that keep you awake.

Overpriced The rooms are just slightly better than a motel 6. The pool is not heated so is useless. The jaccuzzi may or may not work and it runs during limited hours. The restaurant is also overpriced and the food is as good as a filibertos (a fast food mexican restaurant). The beach is public so there is no privacy. The ocean is nice and the hotel is in a good location.

Beautiful and traditional I have stayed here several times and have always been happy with the treatment I have received. I was married here last year and all of my guests were very pleased. This is not the fancy spa type hotel, if that's what you're looking for go to Sandy Beach. This is a family owned business where people treat you with real Mexican hospitality.

Playa Bonita Hotel & Restaurant The reservation process worked flawlessly! thanks.
The first room we had - 607 - had a chest of drawers where the drawers did not work; one was broken, the other would not open. We were quickly offered another room. The lock to the sliding room did not work because the "catch" was never installed. The lock to the sliding screen door did not work because it did not align properly. The staff was cordial and tried to help.
The restaurant was excellent! Service was great and the food was very good.

Playa Bonita Resort I had no bad moments at the Play Bonita Resort every staff member was very polite and helpfull we got a flat tire and they took it in for us, all we had to do was pick up the phone and boom it was there!! The restrant was a little too expensive but the food was good!!

Playa Bonita we stayed here on an earlier visit to Rocky Point and were not impressed. We had serious reservations when our group decided Playa to again stay at Playa Bonita but decided \"to make the best of it\" and go along with the group. Pleasant surprise. Newly painter and carpeted. good food and very helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again.

playa bonita the hotel is very nice and has good service awesome for spring breakers. the resturaunt is nice but over priced for dinner and their waiters are rude and expect high tipps. great view of the ocean. They are strict with enforcing the rules.

Nice reasonably priced hotel This hotel has a beautiful location. The reservationist didn\'t give us the right room that we confirmed and booked, but the front desk was gracious and fixed it, only thing negative are the beds, very hard (figured out it is a thin mattress on a platform with plywood) and shower water temperature was either really hot or cool

over prices hotel I will never stay at Playa Bonita, our expirience there was terrible. 1st night that we got there they gave us a room was dirty the bed was not made and there was dirty towels in the bathroom. They gave is a room that did not have Ocean View which I paid for they did not offer us a discount also the main door to our room did not lock the showers in the bathroom were terrible no hot water only cold. The food at the restaurant was not great and its was over price. I will not recommend this hotel to none of my friends or family.

VERY HAPPY! Stayed at Playa Bonita a total of 3 nights and really enjoyed the stay ..........clean rooms and clean pools! Will stay there again! The Hotel Restaurant was excellent! Great food and very friendly staff!

Poor conditions/service Checked in on 07/17/09. Room 204
1-No towells in room at check in.
2-Towells delivered with no wash towells.
3-No remote control for t.v.
4-Called for remote control. Waited 45 min to 1 hr and had to leave. Remote control still not delivred.
5-Had trouble using the phone because the cord kept falling off of phone.
6-Returnned and called again for remote. delivered this time. (Approx. 4 hrs from first call)
7-Returned from walk and key would not open door.
8-Door handle not working properly. Had to use key to turn handle and close the door.

Playa Bonita Wonderful helpful staff. The reason I am giving an average rating is b/c they never gave us hand towels or wash cloths unless we made a point of asking at the desk. I feel that should be a basic thing a hotel just plain does. Also, have never been to a hotel that says to put the dirty toilet tissue into a waste basket. I did not like all the black hair that was on the floor which I think it b/c of the string mop they use. You also should give patrons a pamphlet containing a city map with seeable street names and suggestions for restaurants and dulcerias.

A place to go close to town nicer than than Plaza las Glorias We stay here to stay close to town but still stay at a decent Hotel. Not a resort but who needs that? Good price, good location, great view. Only problem your feet aren\'t on the beach
