Rocky Point Hotels are the inexpensive tourist destination in Rocky Point. For those people who don't want to spend the money for a weekend at a resort, the hotels are a great option. Hotels are being renovated all over town to help compete against the resorts. Our review forum allows people to post their positive or negative experiences and the user can read about them and also make a Rocky Point Reservation. Puerto Penasco is growing and we hope to provide you with useful information about our beautiful town.
Too Many Young People I went down to Rocky Point with the family. We wanted to have a family getaway but this hotel is definitely more of a young crowd, party destination. Next time, we are going to the resorts.

Dirty Glorias may have been glorious in the past, but no longer. I stayed there a week ago and went with low expectations and was still disappointed. While it has been acquired by a US company who will invest $3MM in renovations, no amount of money, no extensive renovations will matter if the housekeeping staff does not properly clean the rooms. My room was incredibly filthy. The bathroom had not been cleaned, the tub was filled with sand and hair, the shower curtain was dirty, had soap scum on the bottom and bugs, the walls were dirty. All it would have taken is a clean shower curtian, someone to clean the tub and some windex on the walls. The bedspreads were dirty also, evident of the previous occupants extracurricular activites.....disgusting accomodations. Again, you can invest millions in renovations, but if you don't have a staff that will properly clean, no amount of money will make a difference. Sorry, but I won't be back......

this place is a dump stay away. it's location is good but the rooms are bad. i paid less at the sonoran spa for a first class room than i did for the deluxe 2br at the plaza least glorias. check the marks on the doors at the ground floor and you will see the break in attempts. rooms are not clean for the price and outdated. i've been around the world many times and although this is not the worst i've seen it is way overpriced.

beautiful we went for 3 nights with not very high expectations but just walking into the hotel was great.a band was playing very nicely decorated. was disappointed because did have to go through the pool area to get to our room and we asked for a king bed and got 2 double beds.the phone in our room didnt work i believe we were in a part that wasnt finished because the hall lights were not on either but our room was right by the ocean. you could just walk out the hotel and see it they also have chairs that face the beach which was nice. the room had a flat screen tv and was very clean although the air conditioning was not the best but overall we will definatly stay there again it was well worth the price

WORTH EVERY PENNY! I've been to Penasco Del Sol three times so far and just keep coming back. Great location!!! The rooms are cozy, beautiful views of the ocean, and the swim up bar is my all time fav. Staff was encredible and the restaurant gets a 10 in my book as well. We'll be visiting atleast 5 times a year. =)

Very Nice Hotel This place has obviously been renovated compared to previous reviews. The staff was friendly, and the hotel very nice. It was like a hotel room, not like some of the other resorts with a separate room for the bedroom. Unless you get the master suite. That was disappointing, but other than that, it was great.

Pretty nice Initial impression was excellent. Great room with stylish furnishings and nice plasma screen television. Only complaint was that the hot tub was more of a cold tub. I don't think I've ever been in a colder "hot" tub.

Great Spring Break Location!! With it's own beach, this hotel is a great spring break location for college students. I just came back and I had a blast. The food at the restaurant is delicious, with a bar in the lobby as well. The people at the check in registers are bilingual and very helpful. Loud music starting from 11am was a problem, but was fun during the day. People with families shouldn't complain....it's spring break....what did you honestly expect??

Awsome Me and my fiance stayed last year and the renovation is awsome. We got the ocean view room and it was by far the best place I have stayed in a while. You can open your balcony door at night and listen to the waves. Very relaxing unless of course you go during spring break, but americans like to have fun. In fact we are going back in a couple of weeks.

A Jewel on the Beach WOW! I never would have expected to find such a magnificent hotel in Rocky Point. The accommodations were five star; spectacular views from all rooms, unbelievable pool and right on the beach. The website photos do not do it justice. And the food; the best in town and prices are better than reasonable. Had a 12 oz rib eye with potato, veg, Caesar salad and a glass of wine for less than $20 US in room service. Shocked how cheap it was and it was as good as any in Phoenix area. Highly recommend this fabulous spot for anyone heading to Puerta Penasco. Don’t miss it!

Penasco Del Sol My wife and I visited Rocky Point for the first time this year. We stayed for three days at Penasco Del Sol. It was absolutely beautiful. The staff was helpful and pleasant, the rooms were nice and the grounds were spotless. The pool area and adjoining beach were accessible and clean. We will DEFINITELY be back again very soon. Reasonably priced and very elegant.

Very Nice Hotel My husband, our 2 kids, and my mom stayed at Penasco Del Sol June 20 - 22. We stayed in the double queen rooms, they were very roomy, they had a coffee maker, fridge, microwave & hair dryer. It was so nice to have these amenities. Staff at hotel are very attentive, always smiling, and most spoke English. Kids had fun in the pool. I liked that the hotel was close to local shops. We were able to walk to a little market, and there were other resturants close by. Breakfast buffet was fantastic, but hard to feed the kids lunch and dinner, so having other options close to the hotel grounds was nice. We will definitely go back. The beach was the only thing I was disappointed in due to all the broken glass everywhere, but this has nothing to do with the hotel.

An Enjoyable Stay We stayed there 3 nights and although the air conditioner needed fixing, the maintence man showed up immediately. The beds are very comfortable, it was clean and attractive, but the rooms could have used a comfortable chair besides the small table and 2 chairs. There is only 1 elevator for 4 towers, which meant a long walk to the pool, restaurant or front desk. The steps were closer, but had no hand rails. A beautiful pool area with cabanas. Easy access to the beach.

Penasco Del Sol Stayed there for two nights while my girlfriend and I were there for the triathlon in mid-april. Couldn\'t have been happier. Room was very nice, loved the shower, the fridge, microwave, and in room safe were great and used often. The clubs around the hotel were blasting music, but once we closed the door and turned on the air conditioner we couldn\'t hear a thing going on outside. The pool area is great as well, although the swim up bar was filled with kids (?! like 5-6 year old kids) we didn\'t mind and just enjoyed the hell out of the environment. We will be staying there again for next years triathlon.
I would recommend after reading some reviews that people coming here realize that the entire month of March is spring break for college kids, and of course it is going to be loud. I don\'t think you should fault the hotel for that, more so yourselves for not researching it.

Weekend Stay At Penacso Del Sol Having stayed in Rocky Point previously, we recently made a trip and decided to stay at the Penasco Del Sol. We decided to reserve a Jr Suite, and were very pleased upon checking in. The room was clean and bright, and fronted the ocean. Beautiful view!
The staff was friendly and courteous. The restaurant is very nice, with outdoor dining, and tables with views of the ocean. The food was great, prices resonable, and service very good (we dined both nights there at the restaurant. We did not partake in the breakfast buffet, however noted the long lines of people!)
Sadly having noticed lack of tourists (we were practically the only guests dining at the restaurant for an evening meal!), based on our own experiance, Rocky Point and the Penasco Del Sol are perfectly safe destinations, and we will not hesitate in returning, hopefully in the near future.

Horrible They have horrible service!! The hotel is nice but old and the air went out in our room and they did not change our rooms until the next day. The staff is completely incompetent. The people checking you in and out have no clue what they are doing they charged my credit twice!!! The area is beautiful and I love Puerto Peñasco but they have bad service and the food is also horrible. I spoke to the chef and he was very arrogant!

WATCH OUT FOR PEEP HOLES! I found peep holes in two different rooms! Look for holes in the doors between the rooms, they are set at an angle aimed towards the beds!!! I\'M NOT KIDDING! They were pencil size, I stuffed \'em with tissue. I couldn\'t wait to get out of MEXICO! Haven\'t been back since! BEWARE!
